About these terms

PaintCodeByReg is operated by FASTCARCHECK LTD (company number 17466402), 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

What the service is

We identify a vehicle from its registration or VIN and show paint information for it. Where we hold a paint code for the vehicle we show it; otherwise we show the factory shades of the vehicle's recorded colour that the model was sold in, ranked by likelihood and labelled as likely. Colour statistics and guides are general information.

Check before you buy paint

A registered colour covers several factory shades, records can be incomplete, and cars get resprayed. Always confirm the paint code on the label on your car before buying paint or booking a repair. Swatches on screen are representative and can't show the exact shade. We are not responsible for paint or repairs bought on the strength of a result you didn't check.

Not affiliated

We are independent. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the DVLA, the DVSA or any vehicle manufacturer, and manufacturer names are used only to describe vehicles.

Acceptable use

• Use the site for your own lookups. Don't query it automatically, scrape it, or try to get around its limits.
• Don't try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems.
• We may limit or block access that breaks these rules.

Our content

The site, its design and text belong to FASTCARCHECK LTD. You may quote our car colour statistics with a link to the page (CC BY 4.0).

Paid features

Where we offer a paid feature, its price and any extra terms are shown before you pay.

Liability

The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from reliance on a result you didn't check on the car. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
